NEW YORK, NY, October 15, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Bendheim has added seven new products to its Cabinet Glass Collection that can dramatically improve the appearance of a home. The collection offers homeowners designer-quality decorative glass inserts for cabinets, doors, partitions and bespoke glass shelves.

The line extension consists of five linear patterns that are increasingly sought after by both professional designers and homeowners who are enthusiastic about design. The patterns range from the open and transparent “Italian Satin Streamer” to the heavily concealed “Italian Satin Blind” in order to meet a multitude of requirements for visual privacy. Two other types of glass, “Solar” and “Soft Etched”, which do not have a distinctive pattern, round off the new collection by offering design options for minimalist houses.

With its expanded line of cabinet glass, Bendheim enables homeowners to transform their kitchens into a complete remodel with a budget-friendly and time-saving alternative. Many homeowners are opting for home improvement projects after the pandemic, and upgrading cabinets with decorative glass inserts as part of a cabinet renovation project is a highly customizable and wallet-friendly option. Cabinet replacement costs averaged $ 35,000, while renovation costs averaged $ 7,500, a savings of nearly 80 percent. The redesign is also greener and much faster – most projects are completed in two days – and far less intrusive.

Decorative glass inserts in galley doors are another growing trend in home design and can be used to add sophistication and charm to the kitchen.

“The expanded offering gives homeowners more choices to dramatically improve the kitchen design and feel of the space in the home that many consider important,” said Robert Jayson, President of Bendheim. “Family celebrations this year may be smaller due to the pandemic, but they won’t be any less important and carefully planned than in previous years. More and more people are enjoying the home, cooking, and quality time with the family, and we’ve seen a growing demand from homeowners for their kitchens to be upgraded. Good design increases the joy of everyday life. “

The cabinet glass from Bendheim is cut to size and delivered ready for installation in sizes of up to 20 inches W by 40 inches H. Prices range from $ 13 to $ 53 per square foot, depending on the design and security option you choose. Security options for glass include tempering and lamination, ideal for home applications that require additional security as required by local building codes or the homeowner’s personal preferences.

Tempering is a heat amplification process that increases glass strength by a factor of four – similar to the glass in the side windows of your car. When laminating, two pieces of glass are “pushed together” with a special intermediate layer. In the event of a break, the intermediate layer holds the parts together and thus minimizes the risk of injury – similar to your windshield.

Bendheim’s Cabinet Glass website is a carefully curated collection of more than 70 handcrafted, colored, textured, etched, and wired decorative glass types for a range of home design applications. More information is available at
