Professional Drywall Construction, Inc. Opens Office In Norwalk

March 9, 2021

Professional Drywall Construction, Inc. (PDC), a leading commercial drywall company headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, has opened a second office in Norwalk, Connecticut, expanding its commitment to customers across New England and beyond. The new office at 91 North Main Street will be led by longtime associate Josh Palmieri.

“The expansion into southern Connecticut has long been a concern of how much work we do in the state,” said PDC owner Ron Perry. “After the hugely successful work on The SoNo Collection, an upscale shopping mall valued at $ 300 million that opened in late 2019, Norwalk seemed like the best place to expand our network.”

PDC worked on the SoNo collection for 24 months and employed 75 to 125 people to complete the project. The company developed dynamic solutions to construction problems, including origami drywall, keeping the integrity and beauty of the design in mind.

The management of the new office was recently promoted to Josh Palmieri, who has been with PDC for over six years. A graduate of the State University of New York in Cortland, he worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years and held positions as Estimator and Senior Project Manager at PDC prior to his promotion to Project Executive / Norwalk Regional Manager.

“I’ve been doing drywall since I was 12,” said Palmieri. “The construction industry has always been a very big part of my life. The SoNo collection was one of the biggest projects I’ve ever worked on and it was amazing to see something on this scale come together. I’m ready for this job accept this new challenge and work on expanding PDC in a new market. “
