Stunning 5-Screen Home Theater Designed for Sports, Batman Fanatic
This home theater contains four 65 “Samsung screens on either side of a 134” Stewart movie screen with images from a JVC projector.
Holy home theater, Batman! It’s one thing to have your own home theater, but it’s on a whole different level to have five individual screens in one room and a hidden door for the technical room. But that’s exactly what Pure Custom Integrations did in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for a homeowner who is equally obsessed with sports and Batman.
Impressive video from JVC, Samsung
This dream theater can be transformed from a classic cinema into a sports bar setup at the push of a button. Fans can watch their favorite team or movie on a 134-inch Microperf Firehawk borderless screen on the Stewart Balon G2 movie screen, and watch additional events on one of Samsung’s four 65-inch curved TV screens.
The main screen shows images from a native 4K JVC DLA-RS2000 projector, which is completely hidden in the ceiling. During the installation, the Pure Custom Integrations team installed the screen and tested the motorized lens shift of the JVC projector to ensure the screen was mounted at a comfortable height without the image being cut off or compromised.
The homeowner can exchange sources with Control4 to control a Just Add Power 4K video distribution system, just like in a real sports bar … only more convenient. Sources include five satellite receivers, Nvidia Shield TV, Apple TV or a 4K Samsung Blu-Ray player. The additional displays allow kids to watch a movie while listening to bluetooth headphones while parents watch the big game.
Powerful audio, hidden equipment room
The audio system is equally impressive in the Batman home theater. Behind the screen is an immersive Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 sound system with three Paradigm PCI Pro LCR wall-mounted speakers, four Paradigm CI Pro 8-inch ceiling Atmos angled speakers and four Paradigm CI Pro 8-inch wall-mounted speakers and surround back -Speaker.
The front LCR speakers are behind the screen, the Dolby Atmos speakers are in the ceiling, and the surround and surround back speakers are in the wall, which is specially designed to match the decor and style of the room. The audio is fed by an AV receiver from the Integra DRX-R1 Research Series and a Monoprice Monolith THX subwoofer.
The Blu-ray player is located in the concession booth’s closet so the homeowner can easily switch discs while grabbing a snack without having to enter the server / equipment room.
Speaking of the technical room: the entrance is behind a secret door. The two televisions on the left side of the big screen are attached to the door itself.
The Samsung screens are actually attached to the secret door.
“The beautiful paintwork integrated the loudspeakers and integrated them into the walls of the theater so that the guests can enjoy the sound without having to look at many loudspeakers,” says Richard Juras, owner of Pure Custom Integrations.
From a control standpoint, the Batman home theater is powered by a Control4 remote control, a wall keypad, or any phone or tablet in the house connected to a Control4 EA-5 with OS3 smart home controller. The wall keyboard is located at the entrance of the theater so that the customer can switch everything on at the push of a button or even switch it off at night.
“We chose Control4 as the main control method and were able to make it easier to use by pressing a button on the dimmer of the C4 lighting keyboard that turns on the four curved 65” Samsung televisions and the invisible JVC Native 4K projector without compromising the quality, ”adds Juras.
Batman memorabilia issued
“The customer dreamed of being able to enjoy multiple sports at the same time with their close family and friends while using the latest technology available to offer a great home theater experience and show some of their love for Batman,” he says.
With three rows of five seats each, there is space for 15 people to sit comfortably in the Batman home theater. Outside the theater, there is an exhibition of various Batman memorabilia that has been collected over the years.
Outside the theater there is an area where the homeowner can display their Batman memorabilia.
“The customer wanted to be able to watch the latest 4K Blu-rays and be able to access their personal film library on any television or on the projection surface. The starry ceiling and fully stocked concession booth with real popcorn from the cinema make this theater the ideal place whether you want to see a great movie or the latest games, ”adds Juras.
