Yale Smart Delivery Box and Smart Cabinet Lock secure packages, valuables
If package theft is a problem, Yale has just put the Smart Delivery Box on sale. This is primarily to provide you with a safe place to keep a delivered package on the porch or garage until you get home so you don’t have to worry about theft. The delivery box is unlocked by default. As soon as the package is inserted and closed, it is automatically blocked to ensure the security of the delivery.
Along with the Smart Delivery Box, Yale also offered the Smart Cabinet Lock for sale – as the name suggests, it can be used in cupboards and drawers to keep valuables safe. Both of Yale’s Smart Storage products take security and convenience to the next level, but the delivery box is more important.
The Smart Delivery Box is available in Kent and Brighton versions. It can be connected to a smartphone via WiFi or an integrated Yale app so that the user can control it from almost anywhere. It can be put into delivery mode, where the box stays open until the package is put inside, and is automatically locked to prevent unwanted access. The box can be accessed remotely via the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge to lock and unlock it for additional deliveries.
The Smart Delivery Box is also available with a bridge and keyboard so that you can access or lock it with a PIN code. For safety reasons, the delivery box can either be attached to the floor or weighted down with sand. The Smart Cabinet Lock also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for remote access.
Both the Smart Delivery Box and the Smart Cabinet Lock are available in the Yale Store, at Amazon and at Best Buy. While the Kent Wi-Fi variant costs $ 279.99, the Brighton Wi-Fi option costs a little less at $ 229.99. The smart keyboard and Wi-Fi option increases the cost to $ 329.99 for Kent and $ 279.99 for Brighton. Smart Cabinet Lock is $ 79.99 for the Bluetooth model and $ 129.99 for the lock with Wi-Fi.
